
Niall Kinsella - Alto
Counter-tenor Niall Kinsella read music at University College Dublin graduating with an Honours B.Mus degree in 2008. During his time at UCD he was awarded an organ scholarship and remained resident organist in the College Chapel until September 2010. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Music Education. He is currently taking a Masters degree in Performance and Musicology at NUI Mayooth, specialising in piano-vocal accompaniment, and continuing his studies at the DIT Conservatory. At NUIM, he is the accompanist of the University Choral Society, having previously accompanied the NUIM Ladies’ Choir. In July 2010, he was a repetiteur on the Yorke Trust’s Summer Opera Course in Norfolk, UK, following which he was artistic director and accompanist of a successful recital series in the Pearse Museum, Dublin. Vocally, Niall has sung in a masterclass given by American countertenor Drew Minter and is currently studying under the tuition of mezzo-soprano Jennifer Hamilton.
