Andrew Murphy - Baritone

Andrew_Murphy-Bass

Andrew Murphy began singing as a boy in the Palestrina Choir at the age of eight. From that point on he spent seven years in the rising to become head chorister. Now a baritone, Andrew has sung with the UCD Choral Scholars, Tallaght Schola Ensemble, Lassus Scholars and - in 2008 - importantly re-joined the Palestrina Choir as a Gentleman. Andrew has performed before many high-profile figures including Pope John Paul II (to whom he was introduced); Pope Benedict XVI and the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese. Andrew has appeared on ‘The Late Late Show’ and has recorded for Celtic Woman. He has studied under Ken Shellard and, more recently, Professor Paul Deegan.
